COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Daytona International Speedway
The World Center of Racing is a neighbor of our campus at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach. Detachment 157 conducts race shifts throughout each semester to assist in race preparations and fan experience. The Soaring Eagles Honor Guard is always honored to perform Colors at the world's most legendary speedway.

Kennedy Space Center
Detachment 157 often engages in Operational Development Training (ODTs) to Air and Space Force bases and facilities. Around 20% of US Astronauts have an Air Force background. Embry-Riddle students can frequently see rocket launches from campus. It is always an honor to visit Kennedy Space Center to commemorate the American Astronauts who continue to fly the Stars and Stripes into space.

NBA Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic is central Florida's representation of professional basketball in the NBA. The Kia Center in Orlando, players of the Orlando Magic, rival teams, and tens of thousands of fans welcome the Soaring Eagles Honor Guard to their games offering cadets the chance of a lifetime to be center stage while millions watch and pay the Colors their respects before the big game.

Airshows
Meeting with pilots and airport executives to provide the best experience for aviation fans is how coordination with airshows are our most elaborate community engagements. We have had the incredible opportunity to step into the cockpits of several warbirds and create awe inspiring sights for future aviators at airshows, with many more to come.

Honoring AFROTC Det 157
As an operational unit inside the Cadet Wing at Detachment 157, we share the same Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Duty, and Excellence (P.R.I.D.E) as our fellow cadets. Our team faithfully and honorably represents our detachment, our university, and the United States Air Force.
